Sheriff Sales

Terms of sale are as follows:

Sheriff Sales are conducted at the front door of the Sheriff's Office at 10:00 A.M. The balance is due within 30 days of confirmation of the sale. Only cash or cashiers checks are accepted. Prospective bidders have within 30 days after the date of the sale to conduct an examination of title. If the title is found unmarketable, the sale may be avoided by requesting that the sell be set aside through the Hocking County Common Pleas Court. For more information, contact Bruce Morgan at the Sheriff's Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Note:  Sheriff's Sales operated under the doctrine of Caveat Emptor. 

The Hocking County Sheriff makes no guarantee as to the status of title prior to the date of sale.
